Clemens was one of the most dominant pitchers in major league history, tallying 354 wins, a 3.12 earned run average (ERA), and 4,672 strikeouts, the third-most all time. An 11-time All-Star and two-time World Series champion, he won seven Cy Young Awards during his career, more than any other pitcher in history.
In 1992, Roger and Debbie Clemens started The Roger Clemens Foundation and is an entity dedicated to helping children. The foundation's goal is to ensure that funds raised by the foundation through golf tournaments, silent auctions and other events, would be properly distributed to the charities and organizations that they have committed to support.
The foundation exists for the purpose of carrying on and supporting educational, charitable, literary, scientific and religious activities for children, with a special emphasis on underprivileged and at-risk children, and children with special needs.
